What is Long River Press?

Long River Press was established in 2002 as a joint venture between Sino United Publishing (SUP) Limited, Hong Kong; and China International Publishing Group (CIPG) in Beijing. Our editorial offices are located in the San Francisco Bay Area, and our production facilities are located in China.

 

What is your editorial focus?

The main mission of Long River Press is to publish books that promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese history, society, and culture. Our books appeal to a general interest and an academic audience, as well as anyone with an interest in Chinese history, art, culture, and society. The ultimate goal of Long River Press is to maintain an open, friendly dialogue to further strengthen East-West cross-cultural ties. Our work ethic is to maintain the highest possible editorial and production standards in publishing.

Do you have a trade distributor?

If you are a trade bookseller, Long River Press is distributed by Consortium Book Sales and Distribution, part of the Perseus Books Group. We welcome queries from specialty (non-trade) and overseas distributors. Please contact us for information.

What is your manuscript submissions policy?

Before contacting us, your project MUST have something to do with some aspect of China. Long River Press does not accept unsolicited manuscripts nor can we respond to or return unsolicited materials. If you would like to submit a letter of inquiry, you may contact us here. Please do not send email attachments unless requested to do so.
